·        Intensive Care Unit/Surgical Information Desk – Volunteers keep families informed of patient’s progress from outpatient through recovery. Confidentiality of medical and social data is strictly adhered to by staff and volunteers.

·        Gift Shop – Volunteers assist in selling and stocking the gift shop for the convenience of patients, visitors and staff. The gift shop is operated by St. Mary’s Health Center Auxiliary.

·        Greeter – Volunteers greet incoming patients and visitors and serve as the first welcoming face to St. Mary’s. Other duties may include escorting patients to a specific test area or addressing a patient need.

·        Hospitality Cart – Volunteers assist with a hospitality cart to serve tea and coffee to patients not on a restricted diet and their family members.

·        Popcorn Popper – Volunteer operates popcorn machine and pops popcorn for visitors, patients, volunteers, physicians and staff between 1 – 3 p.m. in the hallway between elevators B & C.
