Wound Healing Center
Patients with chronic wounds (longer than a month) can now receive specialized care with cutting-edge therapy at the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at St. Mary's Health Center. It is the only clinic of its kind in Jefferson City to use full-time hyperbaric oxygen technology for the treatment of wounds.
The center has a diverse team of physicians to handle all aspects of wound care. Specialties include general/vascular surgery, plastic surgery, endocrinology, podiatry, infectious disease and emergency medicine. The center also has a full complement of support personnel, from specialty-trained wound care nurses to physical therapists, social workers and onsite laboratory/xray technicians.
Since problem wounds are often associated with other underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, our program integrates wound care with each patient’s ongoing health issues. We make every effort to coordinate treatment with primary care and specialty care physicians.
Patients may make appointments directly at the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center or they may be referred by physicians or caregivers. To schedule an appointment, call (573) 632-HEAL (4325).
